Perdreau: Australia Hi. I am Australian born and live in Australia. I happen to come across this site while searching for other Mauritian sites. My parents are Mauritian and moved to Australia in the late 1960's. My father's name is Philippe Claude Perdreau and my mother's name is Marlene Marie-Ann Lafleur. I am trying to locate relatives whether in the US or UK, who may be related to us, whether from my mother or father's side. From having done some little research I know there are many "Lafleur's" in the States and I'm hoping that I can locate a related one. My mother is an only sister of two brothers, the elder being France Lafleur who was in the Mobile Force & Police Band, (I believe he played the trumpet), he was referred to as "Buddha" by his band mates as he was well built from always working out and sat cross-legged in the middle of his bed. Hence, the name Buddha! The younger brother is Marcel Lafleur, aka "Cello" to some. I don't know a great deal about him other than he still lives in Mauritius, in Beau Bassin and is an architect, possibly now retired or working for himself. His brother France moved to Australia in the early 70's. My grandfather was George Lafleur who married Katie Boldarini who had my mum and her two brothers. My grandfather was in the Fire Brigade and was known for riding a push bike like lightening! Where ever he was going!
